Still has S1 tail lights & brake calipers.
History unclear,possible competition use.
Engine: 1660cc with L1 cams & big valves on Webers carbs.
Stainless steel exhaust with 4 branch manifold.
I bought it in boxes, rebuilt and used in classic rallies until 2000 when involved in accident in Mozambique. Rebuild and back on road since 2005
May eventually be sent back to U.K.
UPDATE: In April 2009 car was exported back to the U.K. and finally registered with the U.K. DVLA in October 2010 with British number plates & licence (age related 1964)
Chassis replaced in 2018 with new Lotus chassis with 26R type strengthening modifications and powder coated.
2000E G/box checked and fitted with new bearings.
Diff: 3.7 (output shaft seals replaced)
Brakes: Girling MK1A Servo assisted overhauled.
Steering column bushes replaced.|
